The fall weather is upon us, and its time to make sure we have our skincare routines updated and in check! During the cooler weather months, one key thing is moisture. Keeping your skin supple and moisturized can be life changing for the appearance of your skin. Your skin looks better when you are bare faced, and your makeup application is a breeze.
For those of you who have followed my youtube channel, and have watched my skincare videos, you will know that I am a HUGE fan of double cleansing. Just using a makeup wipe, or using one form of cleanser does not truly get your skin completely clean in the mornings and at night. Therefore, I double cleanse. Double cleansing is first using an oil based cleanser, and then following up with a water based cleanser. Incorporating this into my skincare routine has been life-changing.
Here are the benefits of double cleansing.
Step 1 – Oil Based Cleanser: deep cleans pores, nourishes skin, removes waterproof makeup
Step 2 – Water Based Cleanser: removes excess dirt and impurities, tightens pores, and is a form of pre-exfoliation
Today I am sharing with you some of my favorite oil based cleansers. These all vary in price, but they all work about the same and have become staples in my routine.
Clean it Zero by Banila Co ($18)
Grain Ferment Cleansing Sherbert ($30)
Beautycounter Cleansing Balm ($80)
Clinique Take the Day Off Balm ($30)
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Balm ($47)
Tatch Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil ($48)
These are holy grail staples for me, and I’m sure if you incorporate them into your skincare routine, you will see and feel an immediate difference, and love them just as much as I do. If you want to learn more about the items I listed above, check out my recent video below:
